Thank-you for stopping by My Lady Bibliophile! I'm so glad you've come. :) I began this blog in January 2012 to share my evaluation standards, and recommend long-lost treasures, as well as to meet other like-minded readers. I hope you enjoy your stay! On this page you'll find my bio, the definition of bibliophile, the beliefs that underlie all of my blog posts, and posts to get you started. Be sure to check out the comment policy at the end. My goal is to make this blog inspiring and enlightening to everyone who stops by. May your reading both here and elsewhere bear abundant fruit.

1. A lover of books.
2. A collector of books.

About Me
Schuyler M. is a 20-year-old homeschool graduate, grateful to the Lord for her salvation and sanctification. Styling herself as Lady Bibliophile, she runs a book blog where she teaches Christian evaluation methods of classic literature and reviews her personal favorites. She also reviews books for Bethany House and Waterbrook Multnomah publishers. Besides reading, she is passionate about history, Celtic music, and playing the harp. A group ministry leader for girls ages 10-14, Schuyler runs a Bright Lights group that teaches girls how to live their teen years for the Lord with no regrets. Schuyler has placed in various local and national essay competitions on subjects both political and doctrinal. She is currently editing her first book, and desires to pursue further writing and publication opportunities. Along with such literary pursuits she has interests in herbal healing, traditional cookery, political theory, and church doctrine. Upon graduating from high school she decided to further her education through first-hand documents and hand-picked online classes rather than a traditional college degree. She desires to support her parents and two siblings, as well as the global body of Christ, while staying under her father's protection until such a time as God calls her to marriage. She is grateful for the opportunity to meet like-minded believers across the U.S. and around the world.

What I Believe
While I gladly welcome visitors with different doctrinal beliefs,  what I write will be influenced by the following convictions. If you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them!

1. I believe in that God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three separate and distinct members of one Trinity. (2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19)

2. I believe that the 66 books of the Holy Bible are God-breathed, infallible, always relevant, and the ultimate law for all mankind. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12)

3. I believe that a literal interpretation of Genesis (6, 24-hour days) is foundational to every other doctrine in Scripture. (Genesis 1, John 3:11-12)

4. I believe that faith in Jesus Christ  is the only way to salvation, and that nothing we can do in and of ourselves will bridge the gap between ourselves and God. (Galatians 2:16)

5. I believe in the assurance of salvation, that once Christ  has redeemed us, nothing can take away his redemption. (John 5:24, Romans 8:1, Philippians 1:6)

6. I believe that in the last day all of mankind shall be resurrected, some to eternal fellowship with God (Heaven) and some to eternal separation (Hell). (Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 20:11-15)

7. I believe that Christians are to take captive the culture, not to hide from it. (2 Corinthians 10:1-5)

8. I believe that all Christians are called to dominion and discipleship. (Genesis 1:28, Matthew 28:19-20)
